It takes 20 years to construct a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you believe about that, you’ll do things differently. -Warren Buffet
If more companies — specifically online sportsbooks and casinos — followed this advice, gambling online would be much more enjoyable…and not as stressful.
I’d wager that BetOnline wishes that they did. They have made choices a couple of years ago that’s probably cost them tens of thousands of thousands, possibly even millions of dollars, due to lost business from poor PR.
We are going to be sharing some examples of these beside you in our inspection. Because while we wholeheartedly recommend BetOnline to our customers — and feel that now they’re a trusted and legit gambling company — we think you have a right to know the entire story before deciding to play here.

WHAT DID BETONLINE DO?
2019 MAIN REVIEW
CASINO & SKILL GAMES
First Things First: What Did BetOnline Do You?
What exactly did BetOnline do to make so many people mad?
We believe a better question is this: what didn’t they do?
BetOnline’s poor decisions crosses the spectrum of shady behavior, ranging from telling likes to withholding money to having poor security.
There are plenty of examples we could show you. However, LegitGamblingSites.com has already done the job for us. They discovered several instances, which you can find for yourself on their BetOnline review.
Here’s our TL;DR variant:
BetOnline Told a Fib
After BetOnline first introduced their poker product, they lied about what network it was on. They first claimed to be on the Hero Poker Network, even though they were actually about the Action Poker Network. There were stories about the way they were on the Chico Poker Network, but then were kicked off.
Later reports (in BetOnline) indicated that things were fine and fixed, and that BetOnline was (and still is) about the Chico Poker Network.
Odd thing to like about, eh? (Although we might lie too if we had been on a shoddy network such as Action.)
Everyone agrees that BetOnline lying was a stupid move and a bad approach to market a new product. It doesn’t instill confidence. And it makes you wonder: why would they lie about something so trivial in the first place?
$60,000 Confiscated for No Reason
There have already been many, MANY reports about BetOnline confiscating money from clients. The reasoning was nearly always because the customer allegedly cheated, although no proof was provided from BetOnline (from the cases we’ve read).
One case that caught our eye was of an expert who had 60,000 confiscated because BetOnline stated he cheated. They refused to send him all his hands, but did offer to send him the hand histories which showed him cheating (for evidence ).
He never got them . What he did get was vacant promises about the way they had been on the road, and also the runaround when they showed up. They told him they couldn’t send him the hand histories because the files were too big.
(Anybody who understands anything about internet poker and hand histories — let alone about downloading files to your own computer — knows what a crock that is. And, why would not you send evidence someone cheated in case you have nothing to hide?)
Finally Sportsbook Review (SBR) got involved and helped the participant get his cash back. His final update mentions being alleviated about the way it worked out for himbut also said the exact same thing happened to his buddy.
Chip Dumping $50 Means You Owe BetOnline $30,000
In this case the participant did do anything wrong — he chip-dumped into his buddy. But here’s the kicker:
He chip-dumped to his buddy at a HEADS UP table where nobody else could be hurt. He did it his friend could have an additional $50 to play at BetOnline.
The funny part is they were playing from the same house at the time. Most sites wouldn’t even let two individuals from the exact same IP address sit down at the same table but BetOnline did.
The individual had his account suspended (way after the fact, whereas most websites would have captured it much sooner), which no disputes thinks was a wrong move on BetOnline’s part. What’s though, is the way they wanted to also take his 37,000 he earned since that episode.
Forum members suggested that most legit sites would never have allowed two people from the same IP to sit in precisely the same table. And, if they did, as soon as they suspected chip dumping had happened, the player’s account would come under inspection. He would never have the chance to earn the $37,000.
But now he did, BetOnline desired it. Buttechnically, the cash should go to whomever was hurt by this participant’s actions (which wasn’t any one). So it is ridiculous BetOnline believes they should have the ability to keep it.
BetOnline Knows Your Own Passwords
The last example we wish to talk about is a case in which a BetOnline rep outed how the staff knew their customer’s passwords and login amounts. It is possible to see the live chat log in here.
The first poster has a fantastic point. If everyone in the business has access to your login information, what’s stopping them from conducting a VPN, logging into accounts and accepting your money?
The BetOnline rep didn’t have a fantastic answer, just a”ha ha ok sir.”
Scary stuff. Scroll down the forum thread and you’ll see more examples. It is ridiculous.
What is even more ridiculous is how these examples are a drop in the bucket compared to the sheer variety of (similar) complaints against them. A quick Google search for”BetOnline scams” will also keep you occupied.
Then BetOnline Does Something Funny: They Acquire SportsBetting.ag
During the same time BetOnline was struggling, SportsBetting.ag was struggling to. They were struggling to pay their customers.
Thent a couple of months after a story broke — BetOnline obtained SportsBetting.ag.
The crazy part wasn’t so much the acquisition, it was the simple fact that BetOnline also consented to be on the hook for all the current and past payouts. Even after all of their stingy-like shenanigans.
An excerpt from SBR:
Most of all, the new investment team is dedicated for SportsBetting.ag winners compensated at a more expedited manner.
“The new shareholders unconditionally guarantee past and future payouts from SportsBetting.ag,” the rep said. “However, since there’s a large backlog of pending payouts, they have to be conducted through various fraud checks, prioritized and fulfilled. When the backlog is complete, customers will experience radically enhanced payouts thanks in part to updated payment choices, including same day choices.”
Nobody knows precisely how much BetOnline had to make in previous payments. In reality, BetOnline was reportedly”shocked” for more than $1.5 million in obligations that was not reported by the prior direction. I think it would be safe to presume that the past debts exceeded $1.5 million — and seemingly BetOnline has paid it all off.
What Does That Mean for BetOnline in 2019? What Does That Mean for You?
Honestly, we’ve had a hard time finding anything negative to report about BetOnline from within the last year or so.
There are a few complaints; ordinary stuff all businesses face that we will address later on in our review once it is logical. Nonetheless, it appears to us like the vast majority of BetOnline’s issues are over.
They have satisfied customers, if you’re able to believe it.
Now, what exactly does this mean to you? In the event you forgive and forget? Are they safe enough for one to join, make a deposit and playwith? We’ll be honest — there is no way we would’ve played BetOnline back in 2011-2012 if we’d heard or known about any of those reports above. No one in their right mind would. You’d be safer light your cash on fire.
And we also don’t wish to downplay the errors they have made. Lying, making baseless accusations, withholding funds and insecure applications is not to be taken lightly.
But since purchasing SportsBetting.ag and incorporating new direction to oversee operations, things have improved drastically. So much so we’re comfortable today recommending them to our readers.
And it’s not just us. When you have a look at other BetOnline reviews, you will see similar thought processes. In most cases the reviewers condemned them for their activities (in 2011-2012) and advocated NOT playing there, simply to have a change of heart once they saw just how much BetOnline altered.
So, here is where we stand on the issue —
BetOnline has made mistakes and is far from a perfect sportsbook, poker room or casino. They had and continue to have their own shortcomings, the most recent of which we highlight in our review below.
But, as best as we could tell, they’ve righted their wrongs and continue to improve what they currently offer players. So we feel secure using accounts .
It’s your responsibility to decide if you feel the same way.
2019 Main Review of BetOnline
Together with their previous from the way, let’s jump into what’s important today — and that is what BetOnline provides in terms of banking, gambling options and promotions.
Deposit and Cash Out Options, Fees and Time Frames
BetOnline offers a good selection of banking choices. But you will want to remember that what’s available to you will be determined by your geographical area.
Let us start with their deposit options.
Listed below are the payment methods BetOnline takes and also the min/max limits for each:
Visa (Person to Person)
Person to Person
$50/$900 — BetOnline covers any fees over $300. Money Orders
$10/no Maximum Neteller
$10/no max Book to Book
Book to Book
$500/no Maximum Bank Wire
$1,000/no max Check
Assess $1,500/$24,900 Diner’s Club
The biggest complaint about deposits are their 6 percent fees for debit and credit cards. They are one of the only sites which charge for (credit/debit card) deposits. Bovada’s one of the other ones, charging 4.9 percent.
When you are ready to cash out your winnings, then you can utilize:
Person to Person
$50/$500 — Can take 12-36 hours. Prices will run $26-$101. Bank Wire
$500/$24,900 — May take up to 10 days. Fees will run $45-$75. ATM
ATM Only Card
$100/$2,500. Check By Mail
Check by Mail, Courier or Express
$500/$2,500 — Depending on which option you pick, this can take 7-30 days and will cost you $25-$50 NOT INCLUDING the fees that your bank may charge. Bitcoin
$20/$5,000 — Will charge you 2% (of the total). Skrill
$25/$9,900 — Takes around 36 hours. Just 3 requests allowed a week. Book to Book
Book to Book
$500/$15,000 — Transfers are completed within 24 hours. Neteller
$25/$9,900 — Requires around 36 hours and will cost you $20. Just 3 payouts allowed per week.
What I do not like is how you’ll pay a fee for every banking option. Even bitcoin, which is typically free at most sportsbooks and casinos. But here you’ll cover a 2% commission.
That said, I’ve seen firsthand testimonials from customers who say they’ve received payments over 10 days, bank transfers over 3 days and bank wires in 2-3 days. This is quickly considering they are in the US marketplace.
BetOnline says nothing about it on their website, but I’ve seen reports that suggest BetOnline provides you a $50 credit monthly if you put in your request on a Friday. Oftentimes this will not cover the whole fee, but it’s better than nothing.
BetOnline’s Products: What Would You Bet On or Play?
BetOnline is an”all in one” company. This means that you can bet on sports betting, play casino and poker games.
Their longest reputation, and likely most popular product, is that their sportsbook. So let’s begin there.
Bet on Sports, Horses and Financials
BetOnline provides action on sports, horses and finances.
In their sportsbook they more or less pay the most well-known sports in the US. Those include:
You can also wager on stocks and prop bets on these markets:
Canadian Soccer Cycling
Women’s Pro Basketball (WNBA)
Soccer One option they have added recently is eSports. It is no surprise really, given how fast the industry is growing. Every bookmaker is leaping on the bandwagon and offering odds on each of the greatest leagues and tournaments.
BetOnline is, also, even though it looks as though they’re only dipping their toe in the water to check the temperature.
I say that because — as of right now — they only have moneyline odds for one match-up / league. Compare this to Bovada who’s covering 5 games across about 10 leagues/tournaments.
It’s a large difference. I mean, who would you rather go to for eSports gambling?
That being said, I think that it’s a good idea to provide BetOnline the benefit of the doubt…for now. It is possible they’re still trying to find their bearings in this developing market. Maybe they have plans to expand their eSports choices in the near future.
What they do have going for them is their odds on the match-up I’m comparing to Bovada. They’re offering marginally better pricing to the same exact match.
There’s no way to tell whether that’s going to be the case, nor can it matter whether they never enlarge this part of their sportsbook.
But, it’s reason enough to keep tabs on them.
They provide live gambling also. These options change continuously, of course, to match with what games or events are going on. When I last looked they had lines for football, baseball and tennis. You might even keep tabs on a few games concurrently using their multi-event tab and plan for future games with their live betting calendar.
1 thing they are known for are the higher-than-average betting limits. These range from $1 to $25,000. Most markets will max out at between $1,000 to $3,000. But it just depends. You can also raise your wagering levels by telephoning their Player Services.
Their sportsbook also runs a reasonable number of promotions, and far more than you’ll see in their racebook and financials segment combined. Some of the better options include:
50% Welcome Bonus — Get a 50% match on your initial deposit up to $2,500.50percent Kickoff Reload — Get a 50% reload bonus up to $1,000. Live Bet Free Play — Get a $25 free play. This is more or less insurance — make a wager and if you lose, they will reimburse you up to $25.
Beyond that you will see a list of races on their page. Each record tells you how many open races there are, which should you click on it is going to expand to reveal the horses, races, jockeys and chances.
If you are unfamiliar with their website or horse betting, a fantastic section to look through is their racebook info tab in their own navigation. Here you’ll find information on:
Their track limitations. This lets you know that the maximum you can bet per race.Payoff chances. Find out how much you’ll make in case your bet(s) win.Their principles and the kinds of bets you can make.Horse betting tips, FAQs and phrases (in case you don’t understand what a word or term means).
It is a fantastic section if you’re new to horse gambling.
And that’s about it. This section is much more compact than their sportsbook.
Nevertheless, their racebook does have a couple offers also, though nowhere near the caliber or volume their sportsbook offers.
Here are some of these offers:
Track Rebate — Get a 7% rebate on your stakes daily with no min quantity or caps on how much you can make. $25 Risk Free Bet — Create a bet for the very first time in the racebook. In the event you lose BetOnline will refund you up to $25.
Last up is that their financials section. Here you can wager on currencies, indices and commodities. Your betting options include touch, range, turbo and one touch. The assets/markets it is possible to bet on will depend on your wager type.
This section looks to be an afterthought. It certainly will not get the focus or advertising BetOnline’s other segments do.
Their poker room is among the most popular alternatives for Americans. They’re a part of the Chico Poker Network, who is 13th in overall traffic rankings, but is 3rd for US poker sites. When I last checked they’d around 2,100 players on their site.
In 2016 BetOnline performed a much-needed software update. Previously they had several complaints regarding the standard of their software. This included complaints about fuzzy graphics, bad sound and animation quality.
But following their upgrade we have seen suggestions they might have a few of the best software in america market.
From worst to best at one upgrade? That may be pushing it. But based on the images I have seen, their software DOES look much better.
However, there are still several areas BetOnline can enhance.
At this time they have a download for PC and Macs. But they don’t have some choices for cellular players, and that we think is a no-brainer in this era. They also only provide holdem, omaha and 7-card stud. It would be nice to see more game choices.
In general, though, it’s wonderful to see they are making advancements and are becoming more competitive with what other top tier US poker sites provide.
Speaking of that, a Number of the poker offers or promotions include:
Welcome Bonus — They will match your deposit 100% up to a max of $2,500. They cover this out to you 5 at a time. You’ll have 60 days to clean the deal. $50,000 GTD — They’re running a $50,000 guarantee for $99. $90,000 Guaranteed — BetOnline promises more than $90,000 in championship prize pools each and every weekend.
They’ve a few leaderboard and cash race challenges, too.
And it is not exactly a”bonus,” but the games here should be milder because of the US traffic along with the crossover visitors from their sportsbook or casino. Making money from their poker tables should be simpler here in contrast to other poker (just ) sites.

Here you will find lots of game options which range from table games to slots to video poker and skill games. Their matches come from the Rival Gaming and BetSoft software, each of which are known for creating topnotch games. Here is the way their games breakdown:

If you Encounter a problem or have a query, you can reach out to BetOnline using one of the following choices:
LIVE CHAT (for real cash accounts only)
1 thing to find here are the accounts I’ve seen about the way BetOnline’s support is unfriendly.
One example came from a poker player turned website reviewer. He shared his expertise, which was among the worst I’ve heard ever, let alone heard about BetOnline.
Here’s an excerpt from Gaming the Odds:
Since BetOnline’s poker software isn’t high quality, I anticipated them to shine at client services. How else can you explain the prevalence of the poker room?
Turns out I was wrong, big-time. In fact, through their live chat service (and I just have to mention it in this BetOnline review)I had the worst customer service experience in my entire life up to now.
Following the live chat session began, I needed to wait for a few minutes before the customer service person bothered to reply, not just entirely ignoring my question but asking for my username and password as well. Can you feel comfortable entering your username and password to a live chat box? I sure did not.
I clarified that I don’t wish to input that information into a chat room and, more importantly, the question demands no such advice since it was about BetOnline.ag in general. I had to wait for ten more minutes for”help” (I use that word loosely ), while receiving”Thanks for waiting. I’ll be with you in only a moment…” every now and then.
That said, I’ve also heard the opposite. A reviewer that actively plays on BetOnline says they provide excellent customer services. In addition, he says that your very best choice is to benefit from their live chat (only available to account holders).
Their experiences are polar opposites. This implies to people that BetOnline may have inconsistencies with the way they manage customer care…an
